It was Mark Twain who made famous the adage that “Clothes make the man.” The lesser known latter half of that statement was “…Naked people have little or no influence on society.” While a naked person’s influence could perhaps be argued, did Twain intend for the statement to be literally interpreted, or do you think it’s the the man himself that creates the influence?
